Members

The Canadian Polyamory Advocacy Association (CPAA) is a member-supported organization who relies on volunteers and supporters to work toward the goals of the CPAA. From the membership, the organization elects directors who, along with other volunteers, lead the organization and takes care of the day to day business.

Our AGM usually takes place every November, but you can sign up to be a member at any time.

Our elected directors for 2023 are:

    • Coordinator – Bram S. Treaty One Territory, the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation, Manitoba (re-elected)
    • Co-coordinator – Tanner F., Unceded, ancestral territories of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx?wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations
    • Treasurer – Ashley D, Lekwungen and Songhees Territories, BC (re-elected)
    • Secretary – Mel C, Unceded Traditional Territories of the K’omoks First Nation BC
    • Directors-at-Large:
      • Aly S, Papaschase Cree First Nation & Treaty Six Territory, Alberta (re-elected)
      • Sabel G., Unceded Traditional Territories of the K’omoks First Nation, BC (re-elected)
      • CJ JZ., Traditional Territory of the Katzie First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation, BC
      • Charis F., Calgary Treat 7 Region, the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani and Siksika as well as the Tsuu T’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation.

We also have ex-officio directors who are unnamed appointed representatives of various local groups or individuals who have been appointed for their expertise including, but not limited to, political lobbying, social media, family, immigration and/or tax law, fundraising and journalism.
